Things couldn't have ended much worse if she'd have tried. Her deal with Elijah became unless when he decided nothing was more important that family and Elena was just dead while everyone was fighting for their lives but when she came back as a human she had to deal with the aftermath. With Jenna and John gone, she only had Jeremy left. He was her only family and they had to really look out for each other now. When Elena learned of the deal Stefan had done to get the cure for Damon's werewolf bite she didn't think he couldn't believe it but her of all people knew why he'd done it. She'd thought if she could get to him in time it would be okay but he'd already left town with Klaus so she enlisted Damon's help to find Stefan.
friends are really important to elena and aside from her usual bunch of friends she would have other people she knows from school and stuff and friendships are really cool. enemies are not so cool with elena because if anyone tries to hurt her or anyone she cares about then she will not be happy and is not an easy person to win around if you betray her. lovers are cool. She used to date Matt, she loves her boyfriend Stefan but also has conflicting feelings for Damon.
